Bathroom
Japanese designed bathroomware

Japanese Toyo Ito's design philosophy centralizes upon the idea of fusing the physical and virtual worlds into functional and lively space. Wanting to depart from conventional meaning, Toyo Ito’s bathroom collection for Paco Jaanson cleverly uses 'flowing water' as the inspiration.
The vanity and basin are smooth, water-worn shapes reminiscent of sand by the sea. The Corian surface has a sharp, defined edge near the outlet that fades away on the sloping side. The soap rest is a simple circle as if a single drop of rain had fallen. The basin mixer is a twisting looping form that arches over the basin as gracefully as a bird. In the design of the mirrors, transparencies and fading concepts are used, which is something that Toyo Ito incorporates frequently in his architecture.
The Toyo Ito collection, distributed nationally by Paco Jaanson, showcases his esoteric vision with a sweeping sculptured bathroom ensemble that takes natural shapes and forms to produce a gentle, soothing design.
